With only 20 league games in consideration, as few as two venues will be involved per season for the Women’s IPL.

  • As many as five teams will take part in the inaugural edition.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has already revealed that the first ever Women’s Indian Premier League season will take place early next year, and now, according to a report, the itinerary is getting readied for the maiden season of women’s competition.

According to a report, a five-team tournament is expected to take place in the first year and, unlike the men’s competition, as many as five overseas players will be allowed to feature per side in each game. Four of the overseas players in the XI must be from ICC Full Member Nations, with the remaining one from an Associate Nation.
