Preview: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match between the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) takes place on Saturday, March 30, at the famed Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
LSG has only participated in one league game thus far. Last week, they traveled to Jaipur to play the Rajasthan Royals at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. In the afternoon match, the Royals chose to bat first after winning the toss. With a masterful half-century from Sanju Samson, the hosts finished with 193/4 in their 20 overs.

Pitch Report: This stadium has two different types of pitches where LSG played their home games last year. Batters had a great time in the middle of one of those belters. The ball would stay low on this surface, though, making it challenging to chase scores, thus it was also in the spinners’ benefit. Gautam Gambhir, who was Gautam’s mentor at the time, would have approved of the second type of proposal.
The former Indian cricket player, nevertheless, is now a mentor for the Kolkata Knight Riders during the current campaign. Marcus Stoinis, KL Rahul, and Nicholas Pooran might be able to freely express themselves on the batting surface provided by the Ekana.
