Adam Griffith has been named the National Pace Bowling Coach for Cricket Australia

Adam Griffith has been named the new national pace bowling coach for Cricket Australia. According to Cricket Australia (CA) on Friday, the former Tasmanian first-class cricketer will work with the men’s teams, concentrating on the training and development of pace bowlers. Griffith joins this post after serving as Victoria’s assistant coach. His duties will include managing the preparation of national pacers, leading the national strategy for pace bowler development, coaching pace bowling coaches, and supporting the Australian men’s and Australia A men’s teams. He will be based at CA’s National Cricket Centre in Brisbane.

Australian men’s team head coach Andrew McDonald praised Griffith’s appointment, saying, “I’m thrilled Adam will join Cricket Australia as National Pace Bowling Coach and contribute significantly to our coaching staff. Australia’s national men’s teams will benefit greatly from Adam’s experience in all forms as they train their fast bowlers.

Griffith has a lot of high coaching expertise. He was the head coach of the Tasmania Tigers and Hobart Hurricanes before becoming the senior assistant coach for Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers.He also served as Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s bowling assistance coach during the 2024 Indian Premier League.

At the international level, Griffith has backed the Australian men’s teams on multiple occasions, including during the 2019 ICC World Cup in England and on bilateral trips in 2012 and 2016.
