During the Under-19 Asia Cup 2023 match between India and Pakistan, star player Adarsh Singh of India made an incredible catch in the slips.

In the Under-19 Asia Cup 2023 encounter against Pakistan, India got off to a great start with the ball when Murugan Abhishek got rid of Shamyl Hussain for eight runs in the fifth over. Despite several batting blunders, India was still able to amass a respectable 259 runs. The pressure was on the bowlers to get off to an early strike even if the batsmen were unable to post a higher total. Abhishek accomplished this, but not before receiving a major assist in the form of Adarsh Singh’s slips.

After Hussain’s bat gave up and the ball took an outside edge, Adarsh dove to his right, making a low catch. The entire Indian camp was ecstatic after the incredible capture.

Concerning the match, Pakistan overcame archrivals India by eight wickets in the ongoing U-19 Asia Cup in Dubai on Sunday, thanks to Azan Awais’s magnificent unbeaten century. India finished with a disappointing 259 for 9 in 50 overs, thanks largely to a late burst by Sachin Dhas, who hit three sixes in his 42-ball 58.
Uday Saharan (60 off 98 balls) and opener Adarsh Singh (62 off 81 balls) were unable to force the pace, accumulating only 93 runs in 20 overs.
Mohammed Zeeshan, a right-arm medium pacer, got four for 46 for the winners.
Sarfaraz Khan’s younger brother Musheer (2), the biggest star among U-19s, couldn’t duplicate his performance from the first game.

Pakistan responded by romping home in just 47 overs, led by southpaw Azan, who scored a patient 105 not out off 130 balls with 10 fours.

He initially put up 110 for the second wicket with opener Shazaib Khan (63 off 88 balls) and then another 125 in 19.1 overs with Saad Baig, who hammered an unbeaten 68 off 51 balls with eight boundaries and a maximum.

Skipper Saharan employed as many as seven bowlers, but only off-spinner Murugan Abhishek took two wickets.

Musheer’s debut was forgettable, as he was thrashed for 32 runs in four overs.

India will play Nepal in its last group league encounter on Tuesday and must win to advance for the semi-finals, but Pakistan, with two wins from two games, would need to lose by a big margin versus Afghanistan to qualify.

It shouldn’t be an issue for India’s colts because Nepal isn’t the most difficult squad to beat, having lost both of their previous meetings.

Brief Scores: India 259/9 in 50 overs (Uday Saharan 60, Adarsh Singh 62, Sachin Dhas 58, Mohd. Zeeshan 4/46); Pakistan 263/2 in 47 overs (Azan Awais 105, Saab Baig 68, Shazaib Khan 63, Murugan Abhishek 2/55).
