The Chennai Super Kings (CSK), led by MS Dhoni, will play in Chepauk for the first time since 2019.

MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) got off to a shaky start in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, losing to reigning champions Gujarat Titans (GT) in the first match on March 31.

The Super Kings, on the other hand, have plenty to cheer about as they prepare to return to Chepauk, where they have a fantastic reputation. CSK will face KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday, April 3 at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium.

The Super Kings have won 40 of the last 56 games at Chepauk. Dhoni’s men have only lost twice to the Mumbai Indians in their last 21 encounters at the venue since 2013. (MI). Despite the fact that they have yet to defeat the Super Giants, the odds favour CSK in their next encounter.

The Super Giants, on the other side, will be full of confidence after humiliating the Delhi Capitals by 50 runs. Kyle Mayers scored 73 runs off 38 deliveries before Mark Wood stunned the opposition with a five-wicket haul, earning him Player of the Match honours.

Previous meeting
The Super Giants beat the Super Kings by six wickets at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium on March 31, 2022. Evin Lewis was named Player of the Match after scoring a perfect 23-ball 55 that included six fours and three sixes. LSG tracked down 211 with three balls to spare thanks to his knock.
