The removal of Indian cricket team wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson from the Champions Trophy 2025 lineup sparked intense debate among professionals and fans.

The Indian cricket team The removal of Sanju Samson, a wicket-keeper batsman, from the Champions Trophy 2025 roster became a hot topic among experts and supporters. Samson’s recent success in white-ball cricket made him a serious candidate for selection, but according to media sources, the BCCI selectors were enraged by his exclusion from the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Jayesh George, the head of the Kerala Cricket Association, chastised Samson for his behavior and dismissed him from the tournament after he failed to show up for a training camp. When asked on MediaOne if Samson’s absence from domestic cricket was the reason for his withdrawal from the squad, George stated that the wicket-keeper sent a “one-line text” stating that he would not be attending the camp, something the cricket board did not appreciate.”I don’t know if Samson’s exclusion from the competition was due to his absence. He wrote a one-line text indicating that he would not be available for the 30-member preparatory camp, which is why he was left off of Vijay Hazare’s squad. Since he is our white-ball captain and led the squad during the SMAT season, we all assumed he would be in charge of the team.

After we made the squad announcement, he sent a message indicating that he was available for selection. Sanju Samson or any other player must adhere to the KCA’s established guideline. Sanju does not require a camp to join the team, as we all know, but is the Kerala team one that he can join and play for whenever he feels like it? The KCA was the only way Samson was able to get to the Indian squad. For the Kerala team, that does not imply that you only show up when you feel like it.
