Following the top-order collapse, former head coach of Indian Cricket Team Ravi Shastri took a brutal dig at the batsmen of Team India and the BCCI with a remark on the IPL.

The Australia cricket team made batting look easy on the green top oval track throughout the first two days of the finals of the world test championship against the Indian cricket team, but Rohit Sharma and his team failed to replicate the same except for Ajinkya Rahane, Shardul Thakur, and Ravindra Jadeja. To some extent, none of the batsmen looked set against the attacks of the Aussies.
The top-order batsmen, comprising captain Rohit Sharma along with star players Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara, managed to score only 71 runs between themselves as Team India fell for six in 18.2 overs. After the batting collapse of the top order, former coach of Team India Ravi Shastri took a brutal dig at the batsmen of India and the BCCI with a remark.
Shastri said, “You must set your priorities, right? What is the priority? India or franchise cricket? You have to decide that. If you say franchise cricket, then forget this WTC final. If this is important, then as the custodian of the sport, the BCCI are the bosses. There should be a clause in the IPL contract that if they need a player out of the IPL in the interest of India, they have the right to do it.”
