The title sponsor for all of India’s international matches (both women’s and men’s) played at home has changed from Paytm to global payments and technology business Mastercard. Paytm had the rights for seven years.
Along with all Under 19 and Under 23 cricket matches played in India, the agreement also covers domestic cricket matches including major competitions like the Irani Trophy, Duleep Trophy, and Ranji Trophy run by the BCCI.
“The BCCI is happy to have Mastercard as the home cricket title sponsor for the 2022–23 season. The BCCI’s domestic competitions are important in addition to the international home series since they serve as a first step in transforming India into a competitive international team.”
“The BCCI really appreciates Mastercard’s assistance in developing Indian cricket. This sport is more than just a hobby for us; it’s a way of life, and we look forward to bringing the fans some cutting-edge experiences through our partnership with Mastercard “Sourav Ganguly, president of the BCCI, added.
