KL Rahul, the vice-captain of India, believes that statistics can be misleading and don’t always tell the whole story. He is working to raise his strike rate in powerplay innings in preparation for the T20 World Cup.
Rahul believes it is challenging to maintain the same tempo throughout an innings. Rahul has recently come under fire for his strike rate.
“Each and every player strives to achieve it (strike-rate). Nobody is flawless. Everyone strives to achieve something “Rahul, who batted with a 122.22 strike rate during the Asia Cup in the UAE, said.
Rahul’s career T20I strike-rate is 140+ in 61 games, although this is primarily due to the fact that he makes up ground in the final 10 pitches of an inning.
He stated, “Strike-rates are taken on an overall basis,” before explaining his position.
