Mumbai Indians have suffered two losses in their opening two games of the IPL 2024, making it a difficult start for them. Prior to the competition officially beginning, the team made headlines with the stunning trade of Hardik Pandya from Gujarat Titans and the choice to name the all-rounder as the team’s captain in lieu of Rohit Sharma. With a close loss to the Gujarat Titans to start the game and a crushing loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad, where they let up 277 runs in 20 overs, the move has not been successful for them thus far. In addition to the harsh criticism that Hardik has received from professionals and fans alike, trolls on social media have been targeting his wife, Natasa Stankovic.

Following Mumbai Indians (MI)’s 31-run defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on Wednesday, captain Hardik Pandya attempted to instill confidence in his team by stating that the “toughest soldiers will get the toughest test” in the competition.

In a video that was shared on MI’s social media accounts following their second straight defeat, Hardik inspired his team by urging them to support one another in “worst or good” circumstances.

“Toughest soldiers get the toughest test; we are the toughest team in the competition, anyone who could have come close to where we reached as a batting group or just overall are us – let’s make sure we will help each other; worst or good, we will be together,” Hardik declared.

Even though Mumbai gave up 277 runs, legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar thought the game was quite open. Bombay batted “well” in their inning, he said.
