Anil Kumble, a legendary Indian spinner, has left his position as head coach of Punjab Kings after the IPL team elected not to extend his contract.
A board of owners, including Preity Zinta from Bollywood, industrialists Mohit Burman, Ness Wadia, and Karan Paul, as well as the team’s CEO Satish Menon, decided to separate ways with Kumble.
An announcement regarding the new coach the team is seeking is anticipated soon.
Prior to the 2020 IPL season, former India captain Kumble was named head coach of the Punjab Kings. Since then, the franchise has placed in the bottom half of the points chart.
The IPL playoffs have been reached by the Punjab Kings.
