The Women’s Premier League rule of conduct regarding on-filed behavior during the game versus UP Warriorz was broken by Delhi Capitals pacer Arundhati Reddy, who was fined 10% of her match costs.

Arundhati Reddy, a Delhi Capitals bowler, has been fined 10% of her match fees for violating the Women’s Premier League’s (WPL) code of conduct regarding on-field behavior during a match against the UP Warriorz in Bangalore. The 26-year-old took a wicket in Delhi Capital’s nine-wicket victory over the Warriorz at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday night. “Arundhati Reddy from Delhi Capitals has been fined 10 per cent of her match fees for breaching the WPL Code of Conduct during her team’s match against UP Warriorz at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Monday,” according to a statement issued by the WPL.

“Arundhati acknowledged that she had committed a Level 1 Offense in violation of WPL Code of Conduct Article 2.5, which is about using words, deeds, or gestures that could incite a batter to retaliate violently if she is dismissed during a game.

Without going into greater detail, the statement said, “The Match Referee’s decision is final and binding for Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct.”

Lower-order batsman Poonam Khemnar was removed by Arundhati in a game when Radha Yadav produced incredible figures of 4/20 to hold the Warriorz to 119/9.

After that, in just 14.4 overs and with opener Meg Lanning (51) and batsman Shafali Verma (64 not out) recording half century, Delhi Capitals won.
