Asian champions Trophy: India defeated Japan 5-0 to go to the final under Harmanpreet

At Chennai’s Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium on Friday, India defeated Japan 5-0 to advance to the Asian Champions Trophy 2023 final. Following a scoreless first half, India took the lead in the second with a goal by Akashdeep Singh in the 19th minute. Harmanpreet Singh (23′) and Mandeep Singh (30′) added goals for the home team to make it 3-0 before the break. After Selvam Karthi scored in the fourth quarter to make the score 5-0, Sumit scored in the third quarter to make it 4-0.
