In Melbourne on Monday, Australia defeated India by 184 runs in the fourth Test match of the five-match series. India got swept out for 155 runs on the last day after chasing 340 runs. With three wickets each, Pat Cummins and Scott Boland have been Australia’s best bowlers.
Jaiswal Yashasvi scored eighty-four runs. It appeared like India might win a draw while he was in the middle. But he was pulled stopped for a Pat Cummins bumper, which caused some controversy. None of the other batters made it to double figures, with the exception of Rishabh Pant, who contributed 30 runs.
India won the opening Test in Perth and Australia bounced back at Adelaide. The Test in Brisbane was a draw. With the win today, Australia takes a 2-1 lead and the final Test will start on Friday in Sydney.
