In the first round of men’s singles, Srikanth defeated Danii Dubovenko of Israel 21-13, 21-18.
Srikanth’s second consecutive triumph over Dubovenko comes after defeating him in the 2024 Macau Open in September 2024.
Srikanth will next face Hong Kong’s Jason Gunawan.

Srikanth was powerful from the outset, cruising to a 6-0 lead in the first game, while his opponent faltered, giving the Indian a 1-0 advantage.
Srikanth continued in the same vein, racing off the blocks in the second game, but the Israeli shuttler fought harder this time.After leading 11–7 at the half of the second game, Srikanth maintained his lead to end the match at 21–18.
In mixed doubles, Rohan Kapoor and Ruthvika Shivani Gadde advanced to the second round by defeating Sararat Chueboca and Weeraphat Phakjarung of Thailand 21-8 21-16.
The Thai duo of Ratchapol Makkasasithorn and Nattamon Laisuan will be their next opponent. In men’s doubles, Ruben Kumar and Hariharan defeated Thailand’s Pannawat Jamtubtim and Ratchapol Makkasasithorn 21-18, 21-12.
