Rishad Hossain bowled a match-winning 3/22 as Bangladesh defeated former champions Sri Lanka by two wickets in their Group D T20 World Cup encounter in Dallas. Bangladesh chose to bowl, limiting Sri Lanka to a disappointing 124 for 9 in 20 overs. Pacer Mustafizur Rahman supplemented Rishad’s return with a fantastic 3/17, while Taskin Ahmed took 2/25. Sri Lanka’s best scorer was opener Pathum Nissanka, who scored 47 from 28 balls. It was their second consecutive loss, making their Super Eight qualifying more difficult.
