Shakib al Hasan, the captain of the Bangladesh T20I, will not be eligible for the forthcoming two-match T20 series against the UAE.
After the national team’s recent three-day training at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium from September 12–14 was postponed due to the country’s relentless rains, BCB decided to host the series.
The series versus UAE will not feature Shakib al Hasan, who is currently competing for Guyana Amazon in the Caribbean Premier League.
Chairman of the BCB cricket operation Jalal Yunus stated, “Shakib is not available in the UAE.”
It was then revealed that Nurul Hasan, who led the team against Zimbabwe in the T20I before returning home due to injury, will captain the team against UAE.
