The 15-member team for the ICC Champions Trophy and the three-match ODI series against England was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday, January 18, during a press conference in Mumbai. Chief selector Ajit Agarkar and captain Rohit Sharma made the announcement. Agarkar selected a 14-man team for the ICC event, with Harshit Rana to fill in for India’s Test vice-captain for the England series. Rohit Sharma will captain the team, with Shubman Gill serving as his deputy. Jasprit Bumrah was selected, pending fitness.
