Former all-rounder Shane Watson of Australia said India pacer Mohammed Shami has taken over Mohammed Siraj’s spot because of the way he’s bowled in the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.
Former all-rounder of team Australi Shane Watson said that the fast bowler of team India Mohammed Shami has taken over the spot of Mohammed Siraj because of the way he has bowled in the ongoing season of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup. Shami took four wickets as India beat defending champions England by 100 runs at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday, October 29.
While speaking, Watson said Shami has taken over Siraj’s spot because of the way he has bowled in the 2023 World Cup. Shami has picked up nine wickets in two matches in the tournament.

Watson said, “It’s a great problem for India to have. That’s a sign of a team that’s in incredible form, where all the players are putting their hands up and playing at their best. In my mind, Shami has taken over Siraj’s spot because of the way he’s bowled in the last two games. He’s been incredible.”
