India defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs in the opening Test, giving them 515 runs to pursue and only managing to get them out for 234 runs.

Prior to the Test match against Bangladesh, Team India began their practise session in Kanpur. The Green Park stadium in Kanpur will host the second Test of the two-match series starting on Friday. India has taken the series 1-0. Images from the practise session were shared by the official X handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Participants in the nets practice were top order batsmen Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant; the pace trio of Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravichandran Ashwin; and pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah.

India defeated Bangladesh by 284 runs in the first Test, with 515 runs left to chase and only 234 runs needed to win. The Indian team has chosen to stick with the same lineup for the second Test, which begins in Kanpur on September 27. Star players in the victory included Ravichandran Ashwin (113 and 6/88), Shubman Gill (119*), Rishabh Pant (109), and Jasprit Bumrah (4/50 and 1/24).
