The next week, England will go for Pakistan for a three-match Test series that begins on October 7 at Multan.
After hamstring scans on Wednesday, England captain Ben Stokes is “on track” to play in the Test series against Pakistan. A hamstring strain that Stokes sustained while participating for Northern Superchargers in The Hundred on August 11 kept him out of England’s most recent Test series against Sri Lanka. The England team defeated Sri Lanka 2-1, with Ollie Pope filling in as captain for the Test matches. Stokes, an all-rounder who is 33 years old, had a positive scan, thus he is probably going to start as captain against Pakistan.

The England and Wales Cricket Board announced on Wednesday that Ben Stokes, the captain of the England Men’s Test team, had scheduled scans today for the hamstring injury that kept him out of the Test series against Sri Lanka.
“The results of the scans were positive and confirmed that his recovery, since sustaining the injury six-and-a-half weeks ago, remains on track to participate in the upcoming Test series against Pakistan.”
There will be questions about Stokes’ bowling early in the tour, even if he is fit to captain England in Pakistan.”I think that’s you getting ahead of yourself,” Stokes responded when asked if he was likely to be able to bowl in the opening Test in an interview with Sky Sports on Tuesday. For the past six and a half weeks, I have undoubtedly only been walking and working out at the gym.”I need to get my bowling form back and firing up again for many reasons than just my hamstring.”
