In the auction for the IPL season 2023, Ben Stokes was brought by the team Chennai Super Kings for Rs. 16.25 crore
The Test Captain of England’s cricket team was added to the Chennai Super Kings’ roster before the commencement of the IPL season 2023 for a price of Rs 16.25. The CSK team’s leader, MS Dhoni, gave Stokes a CSK jersey to signify his inclusion in the group. The four-time IPL champion franchise formally greeted all of the new recruits from Chennai during the gala ceremony, where he did so.
Ben Stokes was given the CSK t-shirt by Dhoni after being summoned to the platform during the ceremony. In a YouTube video posted by the team, Dhoni is heard stating, “I would like to welcome all the new players.” Despite the fact that you are not new, Ben, you are new to CSK, so kindly enter the platform.
On March 31 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, the Chennai Super Kings will face the reigning title Gujarat Titans to open their season.
