Alyssa Healy, the vice captain of Australia and wicketkeeper for the Sydney Sixers, will miss the whole Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) season due to hand surgery she had after a dog attack.
Following a fight between her two Staffordshire bull terriers, Healy suffered an artery in her right index finger.
Healy released a statement on Friday saying, “This is not the news I was hoping for because I love the Sydney Sixers and I love playing in the WBBL.”
