Cameron Green chooses the ‘Best Side In IPL 2023’. It’s Not CSK Or MI

Cameron Green of the Mumbai Indians chose the ‘best side in IPL this season’ above his own club and the finalists, the Chennai Super Kings.

Cameron Green is finally justifying his Rs 17.5 crore contract precisely when the Mumbai Indians needed him the most, and he is pleased that his club, despite initial challenges, is now one step closer to the IPL title match. After crushing Lucknow Super Giants by 81 runs in the Eliminator, MI will meet defending champions Gujarat Titans in the second Qualifier on Friday to determine Chennai Super Kings’ opponent in Sunday’s final. Green claims that even captain Rohit Sharma informed newbies in the locker room that the five-time winners are sluggish starters.

“Obviously, all of his (Rohit’s) experience for India and in the IPL is well-known. “I think MI never won the first game of the IPL, and he tries to remind us of that,” Green said Star Sports after scoring 40 odd runs and causing two run-outs in LSG innings.

“We obviously had a slow kind of start, but you obviously want to start peaking at this time of year, you don’t want to be playing good cricket and slowing down now but peaking at the right time,” the huge Australian, who has scored 262 runs and taken six wickets, said.

Batting beside Suryakumar Yadav is the simplest job in the world for him.

“I think batting with him is probably the easiest job.” That’s the plan: get him to go on strike. And if you come across a loose ball, you whack it.” Green feels that Gujarat Titans are the greatest team in the IPL so far and that they have covered all of their bases.

“They have been the best side all tournament, despite a hiccup against CSK, and they have everything covered — opening batters are flying and spin twins (Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmed) have been difficult to get away.” They’re a difficult squad, but we’ll go in with high hopes,” Green said.
