Captain of Pakistan cricket team Babar Azam has won ICC men’s ODI best cricketer of the year award

He had won the same award in the year of 2021 also. In the list which was revealed by ICC today unveiled the list of the winners in the individual category. In this list Babar Azam has won the first place in regardence with best ODI men’s cricketer of the year where as Ben stocks from England cricket team wins ICC mens test cricketer of the year award.

Babar Azam strike rate is 90.77. in last 9 matches he had scored 679 runs at an average of 84.87. He scored three centuries and 5 half centuries. He had score maximum runs against Australia, West Indies and New Zealand cricket team. Under Babar captaincy Pakistan team head lost only one game against Australia. He became the second winner from Pakistan cricket team to Sir Garfield Sobers trophy as Shaheen Afridi won this prize in 2021.

In an interview Babar said that he feel humble to have been voted as winner of the sir Garfield sober’s trophy and join the ranks of some of the most iconic and respected names who have previously won the biggest and prestigious individual award in our great sport.
