On social media, a number of cricketers greeted 2025 with New Year’s greetings.

The world ushered in 2025 with New Year’s wishes from former cricket players Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, Ravi Shastri, Kevin Pietersen, and Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir on Wednesday. Yuvraj Singh took to X to declare that the new year brings with it new objectives and the same unwavering determination. “New year, new goals, same unstoppable spirit all my love and wishes for everyone to have the most amazing 2025,” Yuvraj Singh posted on X. The head coach of India, Gautam Gambhir, wishes everyone a healthy, happy, and prosperous New Year. “Wishing health, happiness, and prosperity to all,” Gambhir posted on X.

India greeted 2025 with festivities nationwide, with residents in many cities celebrating the milestone with pleasure and fervor. Numerous communities kicked off their New Year’s festivities with themed décor, live music performances, parties, and cultural events.

There were sizable crowds celebrating the New Year at Delhi’s well-known locations, including Hauz Khas, Connaught Place, and Lajpat Nagar. Delhi Police prepared security measures in advance to guarantee a secure celebration.At the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab, crowds gathered to greet the New Year. Many cities’ hotels held unique parties for the day as well. As they celebrated the arrival of 2025, people were spotted dancing in the streets of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. As the clock hit midnight, people in Lucknow also celebrated and danced.

Amazing fireworks displays were seen in numerous places as the New Year rolled around. Versova Beach, Chowpatty Beach, and Juhu Beach in Mumbai were crowded with partygoers. The fireworks were also watched by crowds near Marine Drive.The streets of Manali, a well-known tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh, were filled with people cheering and dancing. People in West Bengal celebrated by flashing their mobile phones’ lights. Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, celebrated the start of the New Year with pyrotechnics that lit up the sky.

Cake cutting is another way that people in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, celebrate. While a sizable crowd celebrated the occasion in Chennai, percussion instruments were performed in the streets of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
