David Warner has made cricket history by becoming the first Australian player to play 100 international matches in all three formats.

Warner’s amazing performance will be commemorated during Australia’s first T20I against the West Indies on Friday at Bellerive Oval in Hobart.

At 37 years old, Warner, known for his powerful left-handed batting and exciting presence on the field, has long been a pillar of the Australian squad. Having recently departed from Test and ODI cricket, he continues to dominate T20Is and various franchise tournaments.
The seasoned opener, famed for his aggressive style of play, has already made an unforgettable impression on the cricketing world, having played 112 Tests and 161 One-Day Internationals for his country.

After Warner makes his 100th T20I appearance, he will join the select group of players who have played in 100 international matches in each format—Ross Taylor of New Zealand and Virat Kohli of India.

Along with other Australians Aaron Finch and Glenn Maxwell, who have also reached the 100 T20I mark, Warner’s historic occasion adds another chapter to his remarkable career. He is slated to open opposite Josh Inglis in Hobart.

In the case of the current West Indies tour of Australia, the three-match ODI series saw the home country establish command with a perfect 3-0 victory, but the Test series concluded in a 1-1 draw.
