Following the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha Ceremony on Monday, David Warner shared a unique post on social media.
Batter David Warner of the Australian cricket team shared a wonderful post on social media following Monday’s Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha Ceremony. Through his Instagram message, which has already gone viral, Warner wished the people of India a happy new year. Warner uploaded a photo of Lord Ram to his Instagram account along with the words “Jai Sri Ram INDIA.” Spinner Keshav Maharaj of South Africa had already celebrated the occasion with a unique message on a video he shared on social media.
Along with batter Cameron Bancroft and then-captain Steve Smith, the player received a one-year cricket suspension for tampering with the ball during the Cape Town Test.
Warner acknowledged the value of coaching in addition to captaincy, but he expressed confusion about Cricket Australia’s decision to keep his “leadership ban” in place.
“What distinguishes coaching from captaining? As a coach, you have greater duty, don’t you think? I’m not sure, I don’t know, and I have no idea how to respond. Five years later, I still don’t know how to respond to that question. It’s just something I find difficult to understand. Apparently, I will be able to coach if allowed to in Australia.Yet I’m not a captain. I’m not sure what it is, but yeah. It has an agreement with Australia. I’m not sure; I’m simply not sure, since it’s a leadership role. Warner told Code Sports, citing news.com.au, “It’s very bizarre.”
