Most likely today, head coachRahul Dravid and Captain Rohit Sharma will take a decision on KS Bharat or Ishan Kishan for the role of wicketkeeper for India’s WTC Finals squad.
As only two days are left for the mega clash between India and Australia, the decision on KS Bharat or Ishan Kishan for the wicketkeeper role in the finals of the WTC is likely to be made today. The two wicketkeepers and batsmen are fighting for one spot in the playing XI of Team India, with head coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma undecided on the most suitable candidate yet.
A video has been uploaded on YouTube regarding the same, where fans are voting in favour of Kishan. The southpaw is yet to make his debut in the Test format of cricket, but fans feel he will bring in the X factor and left-hand batting angle in India’s top-heavy right-hand batting order.
One of the fans wrote, “Ishan Kishan should play; it will strengthen the batting of India, and keeping is also good for Kishan, whereas another user wrote, “Ishan Kishan is a head-to-head replacement for Pant. Kishan can also win matches for India as Pant.”
Speaking about Dravid and Rohit, they are going to conduct one more practice session on Monday, after which they will make a decision about Kishan or Bharat. As of now, both wicketkeepers have a 50% chance of playing.
