Deepak Chahar, an all-rounder for the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings, suffered a hamstring injury against the Mumbai Indians and would miss 4 to 5 matches of the IPL season 2023. This injury occurred in the fast bowler’s first over of the game, and after the fifth delivery, he contacted the physio and received on-field treatment. Chahar exited the pitch after bowling the final ball of his over, still suffering from his injuries.
His left hamstring injury appears to have reappeared, causing him to miss the next few CSK matches. He missed the majority of the IPL season 2022 due to the same issue, and it was disappointing to see him struggle after just delivering one over against the Mumbai Indians on Saturday.
Suresh Raina, a Chennai Super Kings legend who was doing commentary for Jio Cinema, remarked, “It appears Deepak will be out for 4 to 5 games.” He appears to have suffered another hamstring injury and is in pain. All of the other IPL locations are far from Chennai and will require extensive travel.
