Following Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) playoff exit from the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) current season, Ambati Rayudu made fun of the team on Instagram.
Ambati Rayudu, a former India, Mumbai Indians, and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman, criticized Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in an Instagram post following their playoff exit from the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season on Wednesday. RCB lost by four wickets to Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator match at Narendra Modi Stadium, ending their six-match winning streak for the season. Rayudu took to Instagram and shared a video of Ravindra Jadeja, Ajinkya Rahane, Moeen Ali, and Devon Conway celebrating their IPL triumph from last year, indicating five with their hands. He captioned the post, “Just a friendly reminder from the five-time champions.” Sometimes a gentle reminder is needed”.
His post was made following RCB’s loss to Rajasthan Royals, who eliminated CSK from the competition with a 27-run victory against the reigning champion in Bengaluru last week. Rayudu stated following RCB’s victory over CSK that the team needed to play with hunger in order to win the IPL.
“Discussing RCB today demonstrates that titles are not won by fervor and raucous celebrations alone. You must make plans. Just making it to the playoffs did not earn you an IPL trophy. Rayudu had added, “You have to play with the same hunger.”
“Don’t think you will win the IPL trophy just by beating CSK. You will have to come next year once again,” he had added.

RCB had a bitter-sweet campaign in the season as they overcame their sloppy start to qualify for the playoffs at the back of six consecutive wins but failed to go ahead of the Eliminator obstacle. Other than Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar, no batter managed to leave a positive mark while the bowling unit looked all over the place.
In Qualifier 2 of the IPL, Rajasthan Royals will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday.
