Richa Ghosh’s one battle for Royal Challengers Bangalore was unsuccessful.
In the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024, Delhi Capitals defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by one run on Sunday, March 10, to book their spot in the Playoffs. Richa Ghosh of Royal Challengers Bangalore was dismissed for 51 after putting up a solo fight.
Following the decision to bat first, Delhi Capitals amassed a respectable total of 181/5, primarily thanks to 36-ball 58 from Jemimah Rodrigues and 48 off 32 balls from Alice Capsey. In the twelfth over, RCB reached 93/3, largely due to a 32-ball 49 from Ellyse Perry, who was also run out just short of a half-century.

Ghosh missed his opportunity to connect and sliced the ball straight to the backward point, where Shafali Verma collected it and threw it to Jonassen, causing her to push the stumps aside as Ghosh was short of the crease. Two runs were needed off the final delivery.
Due to Capsey’s LBW trap, RCB lost Smriti Mandhana early for five. Ellyse Perry (49 off 32 ball, 7×4, 1×6) and Sophie Molineux (33, 30b, 5×4), the other opener.Before that, Alice Capsey provided excellent support to assist the Delhi Capitals reach a manageable total. Jemimah Rodrigues scored an incredible half-century 0ff 26 balls, striking eight boundaries and reaching fifty runs for the third wicket off 31 balls. For RCB, Shreyanka Patil grabbed four wickets at a cost of 26 runs.
