The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced that Dwayne Bravo, the winner of the T20 World Cup and former star of the West Indies, will serve as the bowling consultant for the Afghanistan national team in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Bravo is expected to join the team in their training camp prior to the major event in the Caribbean.
Dwayne Bravo, a 40-year-old all-around player for the West Indies, participated in 295 international matches, amassing 6423 runs and claiming 363 wickets. In addition, he has participated in a massive 573 T20 matches, 227 List A matches, and 100 First Class matches.
DJ Bravo has amassed 625 wickets and is presently the top wicket taker in T20 cricket. In T20 cricket, he is among the best fast bowlers overall, having amassed about 7000 runs in this format.
Bravo’s exciting playing style has won him fans all around the world. Several major trophies, including the Champions Trophy, IPL, CPL, and T20 World Cup, have been won by him. Bravo has experience as an international player as well. He most recently worked as the bowling coach for the Chennai Super Kings during the 2024 Indian Premier League.
AfghanAtalan, the Afghanistan team, has already arrived in St. Kitts and Nevis for a 10-day training camp in anticipation of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2024. Overseeing the camp will be DJ Bravo and the coaching staff.
