In the early hours of Monday, a powerful earthquake struck southeastern Turkey and neighbouring Syria, destroying cities and killing and injuring thousands.
Former Juventus defender Merih Demiral has announced that he will auction off a signed Cristiano Ronaldo jersey from his collection to benefit earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria. Demiral, a former Juventus teammate of Ronaldo’s, stated on Twitter that he spoke with the former Manchester United forward about the situation in Turkey and Syria before deciding to auction his signed jersey to raise funds. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to a local non-profit organisation.
