The legendary Test career of England cricketer James Anderson is expected to end later this year after discussions with head coach Brendon McCullum, according to a Friday Guardian story.

The publication claims that McCullum recently traveled 11,000 miles from his home in New Zealand for a five-day tour to the UK in order to inform Anderson during a round of golf that the Test team is focused on the future.

With 700 wickets from an England record 197 matches, Anderson, who turns 42 in July, is the most successful fast bowler in Test history.
