Ritika Sajdeh, the wife of Rohit Sharma, expressed her displeasure in public when the Mumbai Indians coach defended picking Hardik Pandya to lead the team.
The Mumbai Indians’ choice to replace Rohit Sharma as captain in favor of Hardik Pandya became one of the most talked-about stories on social media. In a podcast, MI coach Mark Boucher outlined the “cricketing reasons” for the leadership change, to which Ritika Sajedh responded, “so many things wrong with it.” The Mumbai Indians family is starting to show signs of strain, and former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra is concerned about Hardik Pandya and whether the all-rounder can keep the players cohesive.
Even now, after led the team to five titles, Rohit stands as one of the most successful captains in IPL history. Hardik, who joined the squad as part of a high-profile trade from Gujarat Titans, unexpectedly took over as captain.
Aakash Chopra made it apparent that things are not going well in the franchise with Ritika’s remark, so he issued a warning in a video posted to his YouTube channel, stating he doubts the MI family can function as a cohesive unit.
“Boucher gave an explanation of the captaincy change in an interview I was listening to. On his YouTube channel, Chopra stated, “I tried to explain the cricketing reasons, but Ritika (Rohit’s wife) commented below that, and it was obvious that it would go viral because she said – ‘So many things are wrong with this.'”
“We are unsure about what is right and wrong. Although Hardik Pandya would be under a lot of pressure to make a fist and lead the entire squad in one direction, he said, “I am a little concerned because the Mumbai Indians have an incredible team on paper.”
