On Sunday, the Saint Lucia Kings defeated the Guyana Amazon Warriors by six wickets in the final to claim their first Caribbean Premier League (CPL) title at Providence Stadium. The Kings chose to bowl first and restricted the Warriors to 138/8, with Noor Ahmad taking three wickets. Later, Faf du Plessis’ side chased down the mark in 18.1 overs to win their first title. After an 11-year wait, St Lucia emerged as champions, since they were the only original CPL team still without a title.
