Former India Cricketer Dodda Ganesh Appointed as Kenya Head Coach

Dodda Ganesh, a former fast bowler for India, has been named the new head coach of the Kenya cricket team. Ganesh, a right-arm bowler, claimed five wickets in four Test matches and one One-Day International.

Ganesh currently has a one-year contract.
Ganesh was revealed at the Sikh Union Club and was quoted by Nation as saying, “My first vision is to qualify for the World Cup.”
Kenya has participated in a T20 World Cup (2007) as well as four ODI World Cups (1996, 1999, 2003, and 2011). They advanced to the semifinals of the global tournament in 2002, which was their best showing.

In 104 first-class matches, Ganesh averaged 29.42 and claimed 365 wickets, including 20 five-wicket hauls, while playing domestic cricket for Karnataka. Papua New Guinea, Denmark, Kuwait, Jersey, and Qatar are among the other nations competing.

“As a professional coach, I watched the bowlers and batsmen on YouTube before coming here, and I can say that they are in good shape,” the 51-year-old stated in reference to his first-ever coaching job in Kenya.
