Former India pacer Zaheer Khan gave a piece of advice to Rising India pacer Umran Malik

Umran Malik, a young Indian pacer, is one of the players to keep an eye on during the team’s current trip of New Zealand. Umran has a very young T20I career and has only been in three games for the national team. He has yet to put on a spectacular display. The right-arm speedster has two wickets to his credit and a 12.44 economy rate.

The India teams for the T20I and ODI series in New Zealand both include Umran. The player will benefit from the exposure, according to former India pacer Zaheer Khan, but his future will depend on how well he continues to learn and perform. “The variety in your pace attack is a must and you have seen teams following that kind of pattern. You need a left-arm bowler, you need someone who can swing the ball, and you need someone who is an out-and-out fast bowler. If everything is in one package, then even better but if not, you would like to use the variety in your attack in the bowling lineup and use different conditions well,” said Zaheer.

“Umran has been a very exciting talent and this kind of exposure is definitely going to help him, it is about how he takes things forward if he wants to grab the spot consistently,” he added. Umran Malik, an Indian speedster who can easily hit 145 kph, took 22 wickets in 14 games during the IPL 2022. His season’s best bowling total was 5 for 25, and his economy rate was 9.03.
