Dhoni shared some insights with the young female cricketers to help them achieve their goals in the future.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni, widely regarded as one of the greatest captains of the Indian cricket team, has been the face of Indian cricket for the majority of his international career. The 41-year-old recently mentored a group of aspiring female cricketers as part of MasterCard’s ‘Cricket Clinic – MSD’ workshop.
Dhoni mentored 15 players and shared valuable tips at the workshop, which was held at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. The aspiring U-19 women cricketers were chosen for this workshop through a MasterCard social media contest.
Dhoni, who captained India to victories in the 2007 T20I World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup, and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, provided aspiring cricketers with much-needed insight that would help them excel and improve as their careers progressed.
The event concluded with Dhoni posing for a photo with the girls and even giving them autographed bats. According to reports, MasterCard has many more such events planned in the future.
