Parthiv Patel, a former India keeper-batter, has been given the dual role of assistant and batting coach by the Gujarat Titans for the forthcoming IPL.
Parthiv Patel, a former India keeper-batter, has been given the dual role of Gujarat Titans’ assistant and batting coach for the forthcoming IPL, the team said on Wednesday. Under the direction of head coach Ashish Nehra, Parthiv will serve in two capacities within the support staff. It is with great pleasure that the Gujarat Titans announce Parthiv Patel as their new batting coach and assistant. Parthiv, a former Indian wicketkeeper-batter with a stellar 17-year career, adds a wealth of experience and understanding to the club, the organization stated in a statement.”The Titans will benefit greatly from Parthiv’s advice on batting tactics and ideas as they get ready for the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
“Parthiv, who is known for his sharp cricketing acumen and ability to mentor young talent, will strengthen the coaching staff and contribute to player development and performance,” GT stated in its statement.
Parthiv, who retired in 2020, is coaching in the IPL for the first time.
Following his retirement, he worked as a Mumbai Indians talent scout for three seasons till 2023. He also coached MI Emirates’ batting in the first ILT20 season.
