According to Gautam Gambhir, India’s chances have been harmed because they haven’t been able to put together a core lineup due to the many breaks made by star cricketers like skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Before the ODI World Cup in his country the following year, the veteran left-hander urged players like Rohit and Kohli not to rest until it is absolutely required.

The last several years have seen India struggle to maintain a consistent T20I or ODI XI. It has been greatly influenced by the talent pool, player injuries, and the workload management of seasoned cricketers. However, India has not seen the best outcomes from that. Since almost five years ago, they have failed to win any multi-nation competition in whatever format. The many pauses taken by star players like skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, according to former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir, have harmed India’s chances because they haven’t been able to put together a core team.
