With 145 runs in two games at an absurd strike-rate of 258.93, the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) star is currently justifying every cent of his Rs 21 crore retention fee. Even though the slick left-hander is currently perhaps the best T20 batter in the world, he wasn’t given much credit when LSG paid Rs 16 crore for him before to the 2023 Indian Premier League, thanks to Gautam Gambhir’s mentoring and guidance. But now, Gambhir’s choice is turning out to be a brilliant one.
