Gary Kirsten chastised Pakistan’s players for not supporting each other following their poor T20 World Cup campaign.

The Pakistan cricket squad has suffered even more setbacks with the early elimination from the T20 World Cup, as evidenced by a widely shared comment made by coach Gary Kirsten. Reports from Pakistani media and the news agency PTI state that Kirsten, who led India to victory in the 2011 ODI World Cup, was blunt in his evaluation of the team following their elimination from the current T20 championship. “The Pakistani team is not cohesive. It’s not a team, even though they call it one. They are all divided, left and right, and they are not helping one another. I’ve worked with a lot of teams, but I’ve never seen something like this,” Kirsten reportedly stated, according to senior writer reports.

Gary Kirsten was advised by former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh not to waste his time in Pakistan on Monday after the South African stated that the Babar Azam-led team was riven by discord.

Kirsten berated the Pakistani players for failing to help one another during their terrible T20 World Cup campaign, claiming he had never been a part of a squad with such a poisonous environment.

Before the tournament in the USA and the Caribbean, Kirsten was chosen head coach of Pakistan. However, she was saddened to see the team lose to the newcomers, USA and India, and go out in the first round.

A mocking Harbhajan requested Kirsten to rejoin the Indian squad he coached to the World Cup victory in 2011.

“Don’t waste ur time there Gary .. Come back to Coach Team INDIA .. Gary Kirsten One of the rare .. A Great Coach, Mentor, Honest nd very dear friend to all in the our 2011 Team .. our winning coach of 2011 worldcup . Special man Gary @Gary_Kirsten,” Harbhajan posted on ‘X’.

Rahul Dravid is anticipated to be replaced as India’s next head coach by former opener Gautam Gambhir.
Kirsten had voiced his disapproval of the players’ lack of fitness, according to sources cited by Geosuper.tv 4. The former opener for South Africa added that the squad lags much behind the rest of the world in terms of ability level.
Kirsten attributed Pakistan’s loss to bad decision-making following the team’s defeat over India.

“It’s definitely a disappointing loss,” Kirsten had stated.
