During the Mumbai Indians’ match against the Lucknow Super Giants, Hardik Pandya and the other squad players were disciplined for violating the code of conduct.

Hardik Pandya, the captain of the Mumbai Indians, has been fined Rs 24 lakh for the team’s second slow over-rate infraction in the Indian Premier League, which occurred during their game against the Lucknow Super Giants. Every other player, including the Impact Player, received a separate fine of either Rs. 6 lakh or 25% of their corresponding match costs, whichever was smaller. At the Ekana Stadium on Tuesday, MI was defeated by four wickets.

Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has been fined after his team maintained a slow over-rate during Match 48 of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 against Lucknow Super Giants on April 30, 2024,” the IPL announced in a statement.

“According to the IPL’s Code of Conduct regarding minimum over-rate offenses, Pandya was fined INR 24 Lac since it was his team’s second offense of the season.

“The rest of the members of the Playing XI, including the Impact Player, were each individually fined either INR 6 Lac or 25 per cent of their respective match fees, whichever is lesser,” said the statement.

Regarding the game, Nehal Wadhera (46), Ishan Kishan (32) and Tim David (35 not out) helped the Mumbai Indians top order implode as they stammered to a subpar 144 for seven.

After Stoinis left, LSG overcame some nervous moments and managed to reach home with four balls remaining. Stoinis had scored a 45-ball 62, complete with two maximums and seven hits to the fence.

Third place in the IPL standings was attained by LSG with their sixth victory in ten games. Conversely, MI dropped their seventh straight game.
