Harry Brook’s outstanding performance helped England defeat Namibia by 41 runs in the T20 World Cup 2024 match at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
Despite being pulled from the crease by the third over, both Jos Buttler and Philip Salt were unable to give England a decisive early lead in the match.
When he removed Buttler in the second over, Ruben Trumpelmann claimed the first wicket of the inning. David Wiese took Salt out of the crease early in the subsequent over.
Subsequently, after the Three Lions had put some significant runs on the board, Jonny Bairstow and Harry Brook contributed to a better finish to the contest. At 235.00, Brook’s performance caused problems for Namibia’s bowling attack.
Although Bairstow was removed by Bernard Scholtz in the eighth over, Moeen Ali and Liam Livingstone struck a brilliant double that propelled England to 122/5.

Jofra Archer eliminated the all-round player in the tenth over, giving England a vital 41-run victory in the Twenty20 World Cup 2024, despite David Wiese’s best efforts to bring Namibia back on track.
