The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) awarded the squad Rs 125 crore, a prize money the board had previously declared for the team following their T20 World Cup victory. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid, and Jasprit Bumrah all had the opportunity to stand on the podium and share their emotions. Following the felicitation, the Indian cricket team players approached the crowd and offered them signed balls before leaving the pitch. Some lucky fans were also able to take selfies with players and get autographs.Earlier, Rohit Sharma and his teammates’ T20 World Cup winning parade began at Marine Drive and ended at Wankhde Stadium, passing through a sea of fans assembled to celebrate the team’s success. The crowd was densely packed, and the Team India bus had difficulty getting through. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and ex-coach Rahul Dravid all struggled to keep their emotions under control as the triumph bus slowly made its way past the enormous throng.
