The World Cup roster for the Australia Cricket Team has undergone a few last-minute adjustments.
India will be the first opponent for the Australian cricket team as they compete in the ICC World Cup in 2023. During the league stage of the ICC World Cup 2023, Australia will compete in a total of nine games. On October 8, they’ll play India in the tournament’s opening game. On November 11, they face Bangladesh in their final league game.
Australia advanced to the semi-finals of the previous ODI World Cup. They did not, however, make it to the championship game because they lost to England. Australia last took home the ODI World Cup title in 2015. The most successful team in the history of the ODI World Cup is Australia, which has won it five times.
For the competition, Australia has nominated a preliminary team. The team will be captained by Pat Cummins during the competition. However, they have made a few last-minute adjustments to the team.
Lately, Marnus Labuschagne has been included to Australia’s World Cup preparations. He scored a half-century yesterday night in Rajkot’s third ODI match against India. Additionally, the squad now includes Travis Head, who is still in recovery.
Australia’s squad: Pat Cummins (C), Sean Abbott, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Marnus Labuschagne, and Steve Smith.
