The Indian Olympic Association only sent out India’s letter a few days ago. The deadline for submitting the “Expression of Interest” to host the Games was March 31. “Yes, it is true, India’s bid has been submitted by the IOA and the state of Gujarat,” a source said. This followed remarks made by Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya that the nation was interested in hosting the Games. India, which last hosted the CWG in 2010, is also hoping to host the Olympics in 2036.
