Thanks to Sadeera Samarawickrama’s 93 (73) which included eight fours and two sixes, Sri Lanka, batting first, amassed 257/9 on the board. A strong finish for the Island Nation on a difficult course was aided by Kusal Mendis’ fifty.
After Maheesh Theekshana, Dasun Shanaka, and Matheesha Pathirana each claimed a three-wicket haul, Bangladesh responded well at first but fell behind. The Tigers were outscored 236 runs to suffer a 21 run defeat.
